FAQ

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some programs have additional fees?
Some programs require a minimal fee to sign up and participate, but you are still responsible for your order or fee like: dinner club Pub night or golfing!

Will there be an equal split between men and women?
Not necessarily. The purpose of Single Mingler is to provide you with a network of other singles in your community. There may be more men or more women at a given program, depending on who signs up.

Will I know who the other singles are that register in an activity?

Probably not. Our service provides opportunity for you to meet new people by “Making it real”. We want you to create your own opinion of people by using your five senses, not what you might read or see on a web page!

Will all programs have my age group specifically?
The programs will only be age specific when we have enough members signed up for them, with the exception of Mega Minglers. Please keep in mind that you are welcome to participate in any age specified event, but the majority of singles will likely be within the age parameters listed.

Can I bring a guest to the Minglers?
Yes of course, we welcome all new prospective Single Minglers! They may attend the events that do not require credits or membership at any time. However, for programs that require sign up and credits, you will have to submit the appropriate credits, plus they will need to fill out the guest registration info at the event and accept the Terms and Conditions. Membership will be required to attend any future paid programs.

Why only in the Langley and surrounding area?
Single Mingler is offering daily programs and activities. Because Single Mingler is only in the beginning stages, our focus will be in the Langley and surrounding area. As more members join, so will our staff, and expand into more districts. Upcoming districts in which we will be offering the Single Mingler programs are Cloverdale, White Rock, and North Surrey. There are already many groups that focus on events in the downtown area but there aren’t many that cater to singles in the Fraser Valley. We plan on filling that gap.

Why only appeal to singles?
Couples often have established community programs, and even though singles are commonly welcomed at events, they don’t always feel welcome. Singles are a minority which makes meeting new friends difficult: it is hard to tell who is single out there. Our intention is to create a community for singles to feel welcome in and easy for them to meet new people that are single. However, if a member or members do decide to commit to a special someone, they would always be more than welcome to rename their membership as a Merry Minglers and continue social interactions with their Single Mingler circle of friends!
